These boards are shipped un-oiled as we prefer the natural blonde tones of the and also think a board should bare the scars it has earned over its life of good use. However, you may season with oil (we suggest coconut oil) to protect and keep your board unblemished. The chopping surface of this board has been sanded to create a shallow well to prevent liquids from running off the edge of the board. To keep your board looking and working great, we suggest hand washing only and promptly allowing it to dry.
